The Finnish recruitment specialist Duunitori has expanded rapidly in recent years. They are now acquiring Jobbsafari in Sweden from Blocket AB. This means that Duunitori is active in Sweden through the employer branding agency Keeparo, the job search engines Jobbland and Jobbsafari and the statistics site Allalöner.se.
A year ago, Duunitori acquired Jobbsafari in Norway. Since then, the site has served as a complement to Jobbland and the same strategy is now being implemented in Sweden. For job seekers and employers, the deal will mainly mean more available ads, better user experience and employers being visible on two platforms. In total, the two sites will be visited by 1.4 million job seekers every month.
- Since its launch in Sweden, Jobbland has established itself as the largest job search engine in Sweden and with the acquisition of Jobbsafari we are doubling our traffic. It won't be long before the labor market thaws and companies become more aggressive in their recruitment again. Then we will be ready to meet the increasing demand,” says Thomas Grönholm, CEO of Duunitori Group.
Like the acquisitions of Keeparo and Allalöner.se, the purchase of Jobbsafari is in line with Duunitori's overall strategy of building a comprehensive offering with modern recruitment processes and the most relevant candidates.
- There are clear synergies between Jobbland and Jobbsafari. The fact that we have already acquired Jobbsafari in Norway means that we can manage the business and the assets in the best way, it is rare to have that luxury. We were already sharp before, but with this piece of the puzzle in place, I dare say that there is no one in Sweden who can match our offer, says Thomas Grönholm, CEO of Duunitori Group.
In October, Schibsted Marketplaces announced that Jobbsafari and its sister site Blocket Jobb would be closed down. With the acquisition of Duunitori Group, Jobbsafari will live on under new management. Jobbsafari has been on the Swedish market since 2009.
